This superstore was the catalyst for the redevelopment of the former Council office site. It was part of a larger scheme, won in competition, which included a public library, hotel, other retail units and highway improvements.

This development was a ‘Demonstration Project’ chosen by the Movement for Innovation (M4I) as part of Sir John Egan’s initiative to publicise Best Practice within the industry.
