ASHFORD FRIARS PREP SCHOOL

Miller Bourne was appointed by United Church Schools Trust to produce a masterplan for combining Ashford School (see link below) with The Friars. Masterplans for both sites were produced, and the first phase of the Friars site, currently on site, comprises 18 new classrooms, an auditorium and kitchens, as well as 2 playgrounds, car parking and extensive landscaping works.

These new facilities will have a BREEAM Very Good rating and as a part of this we are obtaining consent for 2 wind turbines to provide renewable energy. We have also successfully applied for change of use of surrounding agricultural fields to playing fields.
